FUSE

Public reports, checked against instruments and each other.

FUSE collects public text, images, alerts, and sensor readings, resolves them to places and times with stated uncertainty, and shows how many independent sources actually support each event. Every number opens to the items behind it.

What it does

The question is not whether a report exists. It is how many people saw the thing, and what the instruments say.

01

Collect

News, social posts, reference updates, official alerts, seismic and fire readings, weather warnings, satellite catalogue entries, and aircraft positions. Keyless public sources only, each with its rights and rate limit recorded.

02

Extract

Claims come out with the exact text span they came from: what happened, where, when, how big, and whether the source hedged, denied, or quoted someone else.

03

Trace

Copies, syndications, quotes, and reposted pictures are tied back to a root. Ten outlets carrying one wire story count once.

04

Place

Place names resolve against a 19,000-entry gazetteer with alternatives kept. Publication time is never mistaken for event time.

05

Verify

Each event gets a support index built from nine named factors, a contradiction list, and the instrument readings inside its window and footprint. The index is a heuristic. The page says so.

06

Deliver

A dossier with the items, spans, lineage, media checks, versions, and analyst decisions. HTML or JSON. The same evidence the desk shows.

Deploy

Plugs into a desk you already have.

Every surface here is a JSON endpoint first. Events, evidence, dossiers, and the image check are documented and versioned. Source adapters are files with a rights field. A customer deployment runs in the customer's environment with the customer's sources.
